YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy policy

How project enquiries and website information are handled.

About this notice

This notice explains how Descriptive Research Consultancy uses information submitted through this website. It applies to project enquiries and use of the website. A commissioned research or technology engagement may need separate data-processing and confidentiality terms before work begins.

Information you provide

The project and quotation forms request your name, email, organization, phone, country, selected services, description, timeline and budget information. Quotation requests also include a snapshot of the published starting fees for the selected services. You can choose to discuss a budget rather than provide an amount. You may attach a TOR, RFP or brief. Fields identified as optional are not required to send an enquiry. Avoid including passwords, participant datasets or sensitive personal information that is not needed to assess the requirement.

Purpose and access

Enquiry information is used to assess your request, communicate about the scope and manage the related business discussion. It is not used by this website to create advertising audiences or publish client stories. Administrative access is restricted to authorized website administrators. Hosting and email providers may process information needed to operate the website and deliver notifications. When you submit a request, we send a confirmation to your email address and an administrator alert. Confirmation emails contain the request reference, request type and receipt time; they do not include the project description or documents.

Documents and storage

Submitted enquiry details and documents are stored in encrypted records in the website database. Documents are not placed in the public media library. Administrator notifications link to a private record rather than attach the document. Transport security, backups and administrator account security also depend on the deployed hosting configuration.

Retention

Website enquiry records are scheduled for deletion after 180 days. A separate project agreement or lawful recordkeeping requirement may govern information transferred into an active client engagement. Copies retained in hosting backups follow the host’s backup cycle. Request clarification before providing material subject to a specific retention obligation.

International information handling

Before sharing personal data that is subject to location or international-transfer restrictions, identify those requirements in the enquiry and request an agreed route for transfer. Do not assume that a website enquiry form establishes a data-processing agreement or an approved transfer mechanism. Applicable requirements depend on the organizations, data and jurisdictions involved.

Your requests

Use the verified business contact details below to request access, correction or deletion of your enquiry information, or to ask about processing arrangements. Identity may need to be confirmed before a record is disclosed or changed. Depending on the law applicable to your information, you may also have a right to object, restrict processing or complain to the relevant supervisory authority.

Technical information and cookies

The website host may process connection details and security logs to deliver and protect the service. The enquiry handler uses a keyed hash of a connection address for short-lived submission rate limiting. This theme adds no advertising or analytics tracker. See the cookie policy for the site’s default cookie behaviour.
